| Flea Prevention We feel that it is very important to keep your pets on flea prevention all year round. Unfortunately, our climate provides a breeding ground for the large flea population. Fortunately, we carry a variety of products to help bring some relief to both you and your pets. We carry the following:
Heartworm Prevention We strongly recommend that animal owners keep their pets, even cats, on year round heartworm prevention. While some feel that the cost of prevention can get expensive, it is much cheaper than the cost of treating heartworms. Heartworms are transmitted through mosquitoes, so animals are never safe unless they are on year round prevention. We carry the following:
Prescription Diets We can supply special diet foods for your pets. Sometimes our pets have medical conditions requiring specific diets. We can evaluate the needs of your animal and make recommendations about which diet will help your pet feel better and may help in the treatment of specific medical conditions. We carry the following: Microchip All pets should wear collar tags imprinted with their name and the phone number of their owner or veterinarian. Tags, though, may become worn and impossible to read or may slip off. Tattooing pets with a number is another method of identifying pets; however, veterinarians and pet rescue experts say tattoos can blur over time, and they can be altered. A microchip is the only form of pet identification that is permanent, with a unique number that cannot be altered or removed. We carry the following: |
