Heartworm Prevention- We strongly recommend that animal owners keep their pets, even cats, on year round heartworm prevention. While some feel that the cost of prevention can get expensive, it is much cheaper than the cost of treating heartworms. Heartworms are transmitted through mosquitoes, so animals are never safe unless they are on year round prevention.
